Ellen DeGeneres was born in 1958 in Metairie, Louisiana. In 1976, after completing her first years of high school. Hence, she graduated from Atlanta High School. After one year, she left the school to join the restaurant to do clerical work in the law firm with her cousin. 

Along with this, she has also worked as a waitress, hostess, and bartender. However,  she also painted a house. Before being an actress she has done these jobs. Hence, she faced so many struggles and hard work to make her career successful.

In 1980, Ellen Degeneres starred in the series of films ‘’Ellen's Energy Adventure’’. She did her first TV role at an open house. However, she also played the role of receptionist as Margo Van Meter. In 1992, she was also cast in the role of nurse Nancy MacIntyre. Unfortunately, the series was canceled after four episodes but the producers cast her in the pilot.

In 2003, she came back to television as a host of Ellen Degeneres show. It was also nominated for its first season. At the start of the show, she was known as a dancer because of the audience in the beginning and during commercial breaks. Later, she stopped dancing as it became an expectation. Moreover, she was often given free prizes to be in her show with the audience.

Through her journey, she received several awards for her talent and wonderful personality. She has also done many music videos and video games. Moreover, she also did the voiceover for several films in 2003 such as ‘Finding Nemo’, she did Dory’s voiceover. Undoubtedly, by her amazing performance as Dory, she has won ‘’the Saturn Award’’.

She has also been named one of the best-supporting actresses. Along with this, she also received the Nickelodeon Choice Award and Annie Award for her outstanding acting in animated films. In 2004, she appeared in the dancing campaign for American Express. In 2006, she did a series in which she worked with animals. However, for her amazing performance, she won the Emmy Awards.
