Back in the day, Tara Reid had everything to settle herself completely as a Hollywood star. She may not have brilliant acting skills, but she had the ambitions, the sultry voice, and the looks to make Hollywood her permanent home.
Difficulty in Getting Good Roles
American Pie has been a huge success and the cast which included Tara Reid could have enjoyed this voice of this success. But whereas her other castmates landed amazing roles after the movie, she couldn't even land a movie role that was well-received by critics. She joined movies like, Josie and the Pussycats and Van Wilder, and Dr. T & the Women.
If this was not enough to ruin the career of the actress, Tara wanted to take home the awards for her roles in these crappy movies that should never exist. In 2004, she was nominated for Worst Supporting Actress and Worst Screen Couple at the Golden Raspberry Awards for the movie, My Boss's Daughter. In 2005, she received a Razzie award for Worst Actress for the movie Uwe Boll Alone in the Dark. This also made her viral on the Internet for not properly pronouncing the word, Newfoundland.

She Couldn’t Do Hosting
Tara also couldn't settle herself for the hosting part as well. In 2005, she became the host of the show, Wild on Tara, which premiered on E!. The show also flopped because it was terrible and slammed by audiences and critics alike. However, according to the network president of the show, they couldn't carry on with the show because it “was incredibly difficult to produce with someone well-known…Tara was involved in every minute, and it was an exhausting production.” a good excuse indeed.
If things could go anywhere for an actress in Hollywood, Tara’s name should be on the top of the list. Most celebrities try to hide their relationships and keep them private, but for Tara, this was not the case. In many incidents, it was seen that either she or her spokesmen sent out words to the world that she was either engaged or married. But within a few months either the groom denies it or Tara herself goes back on her words.

Her Surgeries: A Matter of Conflict
Not only this, her surgeries were also a subject of gossip on the internet. She even claimed that her body was “completely butchered” due to various surgeries and procedures that she has gone through. She said, “I had body contouring, but it all went wrong. My stomach became the most ripply, bulgy thing.” But, do these things stop her? No! She said to the public, “I can’t say I’m never going to have more surgery as I don’t know how I’ll feel in a few years' time… Right now I’m happy with my body, though. But the mental and physical pain I went through after I had the surgery was horrific. I went through two years of living in denial and everyone saying how bad my body was.”
Despite these roadblocks, the actress didn't give up. She took on the role in Sharknado and it brought Tara back into the game. Now the only question remains will this movie act as a revival of her career or would it sink it deeper this time?
