Salma Hayek, who was born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jiménez in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico, was one of Hollywood’s most elite actors. After getting settled in Los Angeles, Salma Hayek took a small part in the 1993 film, Mi Vida Loca as Gata. According to an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment, Salma Hayek revealed that the film director, Robert Rodriguez, discovered her while being ridiculed in an interview in Spanish for being an extra in Mi Vida Loca when she was already a well-known actress in Mexico. But, a screen test silenced their doubts. In 1995 when she starred in the action movie titled Desperado, with Antonio Banderas and Quentin Tarantino. 28-year-old Salma Hayek played the role of Carolina.

In 2011, Salma Hayek’s vocals were used to give life to Kitty Softpass in Puss in Boots. She played the love interest of his character, and that was her first animated feature. According to Collider, she explained that she was so excited because her daughter will get to see her in an animated movie. Salma Hayek had a busy year in 2017, when she starred in Beatriz At Dinner, 11th Hour, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, and How to be a Latin Lover with Eugenio Derbez. During an interview with Made In Hollywood TV, she was asked about working with fellow Mexican actor-comedian, Eugenio Derbez, and how it was different acting in Spanish than English. She explained that she thought the combination of American humor with Latin American humor together goes so well because there were two styles of comedy in it, but it’s seamless.
