The Italian acting model, who turned 89 on September 20, fell in her bathroom and got several fractures from her hip and a harmful fracture at her femur that required surgery. The sources have revealed some cautious optimism on the aftermath of the operation and the recovery of Sophia Loren, including a short recovery and a long rehabilitation.
