Tony Lee Jones is a seventy-seven-year-old American actor, who has received immense appreciation and various awards for excelling in his acting career over many decades. Even though the exceptional acting and amazing storyline should have received recognition, the writers and producers were left disappointed. Jones's character was a heartbroken father grieving the loss of his son. We could see the pain in his eyes.

Tommy Lee Jones definitely should have received more screen time in this film. Fans wanted to see more of his character arc, plot line and acting skills. Although Daniel Day-Lewis dominated the portrayal of the movie’s traditional biography, Jones stood out as Thaddeus Stevens, a dedicated and outspoken individual against slavery. His role left a heart-touching impact on the audience making them fall in love even more with his on-screen character.
