Teen Wolf' star Tyler Posey in a stunning wedding ceremony held on saturday officially tied the knot with his partner Phem after a few years of being together.
The couple held an intimate wedding ceremony in Malibu where stars like Avril Lavigne and Bella Thorne were among the guests to witness the moment the two of them solemnly read their vows and pledge themselves to one another.
The Teen Wolf star who is currently 31, and his long time girlfriend/fiancé used a spiritual meditation center in Malibu to exchange their vows and had the reception at Duke's Malibu in the Ocean Room.
According to source, the couple kept the gathering which was planned by Frankie & Louise small, with only 65 people at the ceremony and 135 at the reception, telling PEOPLE they wanted the "people we love there," including "family and friends from all walks of life we feel safe and comfortable around."
Speaking on why they decided to hold their wedding at Malibu, the bride told the PEOPLE;
"We love the ocean and peacefulness. We've always thought Malibu is very calming,"
At the ceremony, where guests included Bella Thorne and Avril Lavigne, Posey and Phem shared both traditional and handwritten vows and had a monk from Italy officiate.
While the reception featured the couple's love for nature as everything at the location was filled with different shades of green and a touch of nature. Even the bride’s hair and her flowers were green. They even used the beach wood from where they got engaged in Cambria, California, as part of the centerpieces.
Guests, including "lots of Wolf friends," enjoyed a sit-down dinner featuring the "rarest lobster in the world from a remote island," says Posey. They also served a three-tiered lemon cake, Italian cookies and Duke's famous Hula pie.
Giving a brief run down of their love story, Posey said that they began dating in 2020 after music producer John Feldmann asked Phem to write some music with the actor. "We bonded about singing about our exes," said Posey.
According to the singer, at the time she wasn't looking for romance and went into the collaboration with business in mind however, fate had something else planned for them. “I went into it strictly business… I swear,” Phem teased. “The thing I like the best is that we were friends first.”
Not long after they began working together, they fell in love. And after getting engaged, their connection has only grown stronger.
"I didn’t expect to feel too different when we got engaged, but it really did change. The love felt deeper and just more confident and settled in. I imagine it’ll grow even more when we get married," said Posey.
"We got engaged in Cambria, California. Phem's favorite place," Posey told PEOPLE. "We spend every Valentine’s Day there so it only felt perfect to do it there,“
Giving her side of the story about their beautiful engagement, Phem added: “It was just us alone on the beach. I should’ve known when he propped his phone up on a rock to film that something was up… but I had no idea.”
Posey designed the ring himself and incorporated Phem's favorite color: green. "It was a total surprise," he said. "All my friends and loved ones kept it a secret and I designed the ring without her knowing, so I’m very grateful she likes it!"
As for their wedding, the couples made sure their guests enjoyed good music, good food, and lots of dancing. They also included a photo of Posey's mom at the special event to show that she was present with them.
According to Phem her dress was from Grace Loves Lace, and was so beautiful yet comfortable and fits her style perfectly. She paired the look with shoes by Bella Belle, which were all lace and extremely comfortable as well with jewelry by Belladaar and Stephen Webster.
Looking forward, the newlyweds say they're most excited about building a life, doing projects, creating art and babies in the future, as well as having a best friend you can laugh with until you die.
