We live in the era of social media, where even television shows become hit by fans marketing them for free, and sharing the videos and edits. However, the downside of this is that many shows end up being unrecognized and their hype falls. There is no genre to the TV shows failing drastically, which clearly shows that it's not the type of the show that fails it but the hype of other shows. Today, we dig into the most underrated TV shows of all time that could have made it big in the industry.

The show is about a 21-year-old adult, Sam, who realizes on his 21st birthday that his parents sold his soul to the devil even before he was born so now he has to do Satan’s dirty works. The show received immense praise on Reddit for amazing performances but couldn’t make it big.

Better Things portrays adult life in the best possible manner as it could. The drama series revolves around an adult who juggles between being a single mom and being the sole caretaker for her ailing mother. The show received many awards but couldn’t get the recognition it deserved.

Patriot is a comedy-drama series about a U.S. intelligence officer who becomes undercover in Iran and has to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power. People have come to call this two-year-long series darkly humorous.

This show, about time traveling and protecting the earth, is set 100 years later where the protagonists can send consciousness 100 years back to make humans realize the mistakes they are making to save the entire humanity from what the future holds for them. The show brilliantly showed time travel but could not do well.

5.  Mr. In-between (2018 – 2021)

This Australian series revolves around the life of a criminal who is hired to kill but has to face difficulties in balancing the relationship with his daughter and mother and his professional as a hitman. Although Mr. In-between won many awards and was received with praise the viewership wasn’t enough.

6.  Preacher (2015 – 2019)

This series is about an addicted preacher who ends up inviting a supernatural to him who possesses him. The series is about finding God and in his search he is assisted by a vampire and his weird ex-girlfriend. Although Strange Preacher is worth a watch

Bored to Death is a comedy show about a failing author and a private investigator, who, after failing badly in life, puts up an advertisement about offering his services as a private investigator and begins the comical journey. The acting and the storyline were great but still, it failed to capture many audiences.
