Through her world tours, she has made more than US$1.5 billion making her the highest-grossing female touring artist worldwide. Forbes has named Madonna the top-earning female musician each year eleven times across four decades. VH1 ranked Madonna as the greatest woman in music, while MTV and Billboard ranked her as the greatest music video artist ever. 1984: At the first yearly MTV Music Awards, Madonna wore a stunning wedding dress but with a twist. The overall look was edgy and included a belt on her waist with a lingerie style top. She wore fingerless gloves and did her own makeup giving a pop of colour to her face with a dark red lip colour.
1985: In her iconic Material Girl video, Madonna took some inspiration from Marilyn Manroe and wore a hot pink dress with a diamond necklace. She somewhat ended up recreating Marilyn Monroe’s makeup as well as the concept for her music video as she was wearing diamonds and was surrounded by men in the video poster.
