Solange Knowles Overview
Solange Piaget Knowles, known as Solange Knowles, was an American singer, music producer, model, and actress. Her father Matthew Knowles owned a music label, which played an important role in her obsession with music from a very early age. In 2002, she started her musical career at the age of 16 with her debut album, titled Solo Star, and became a moderate success. Before her musical debut, she had plunged into the field of acting with minor roles in TV series like Intimate Portrait and The Proud Family. She managed both her musical endeavors and acting projects, which allowed her to become a well-known celebrity in America. Her distinct sense of music separated her from the rest of emerging hip hop artists. She further proved her talent with her second album, titled Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams, which was also a success. She considers her older sister Beyonce as her biggest influence.
Solange Knowles was slightly different from her sister, Beyonce. While Beyonce was a loud and outspoken girl, Solange was just the opposite, a shy and introverted girl. Apart from music, Solange Knowles also learned dancing and theater. She often worked on her skills to become a performer. As for singing, she started performing in family events at the age of five and sang for the first time in front of an amusement park crowd, and by the age of nine, she was writing her own songs. Now, she has become a popular singer. In 2004, she married Daniel Smith at the age of 17, and gave birth to her son Daniel Julez J. Smith later that year. The couple moved to Moscow, Idaho, where Daniel Smith attended college. In 2007, she divorced Daniel Smith and said that she regretted marrying and becoming a mother early in her life. In November 2014, she got married to the famous music video director Alan Ferguson and became part of a controversy which also involved her brother-in-law Jay Z. In a leaked footage, she was seen physically assaulting her brother-in-law inside an elevator. The entire incident was later labeled as a mere publicity stunt.

Her Amazing Outfit
Just like others before her, when Solange Knowles stepped into the spotlight, she opted for cookie-cutter style; short, tight dresses, sky high heels and long flowing locks. She looked gorgeous, but somewhere along the line she changed her mind. As her music took a turn for the eclectic, so did her style. The uptown beauty headed for downtown chic then made a detour to Bohemian glamor. People were loving her now trademark Afro, bold prints, and head-turning accessories. She also morphed from cute to cutting edge and became a style icon.
Her Hair Was An Art
Solange Knowles was not afraid of going bold when it comes to her hair. Her hair was part of her art and she was not shy about exploring it. She experimented with her natural hair, played with color, braids, and weaves. She has inspired women all over the world to embrace their natural hair and has made black hairstyles trendy and stylish in her years in the entertainment industry. Her mother Tina Knowles-Lawson owned a salon when she and her sister Beyonce were young and she spent her days at the salon surrounded by women coming to do their hair, she revealed in an interview with Harper's Bazaar magazine.
Hair Blonde Makeover
Never one to shy away from artistic expression and evolution, Solange Knowles was continuously debuting new hair transformations that make people all take note. She has rocked everything from voluminous curls to long braids to buzz cuts, and her hairstyles never seem to fail or inspire her millions of fans. This time the songstress debuted not only a new style, but a strikingly new hair color as well. Swapping out her signature brunette color for platinum blonde has only upped the ante on the musician’s new short natural curly afro—just after she debuted her beach blonde braided look during New York Fashion Week. Her hair was always next level and she was known for her voluminous curly afro. Why did she decide to go for the big chop? She was a true artist and change was a part of life. She understands that and changing her hair was the statement, like her songs. And as we know, she was not a stranger to cutting her hair off, as we have seen in the past with her. Going short does not bother her.
