In 2006, her first studio album was released but prior to this, she entered the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. When Brooke's father, Hulk took some time off for his back surgery in early 2012, she and bully Ray started their secret on-screen relationship. When her father returned to the show in November of 2012, he moved into a feud with the bully Ray without knowing he was having a relationship with her daughter. However, it was revealed soon enough when a few years later,  bully Ray saved Brooke from getting kidnapped by Aces and Eight. At that moment, he proposed to break in front of Hogan which left the father speechless.

Hogan said, I’m looking at you, I’m looking through your eyes, I don’t believe you, you’re not for real and you are not the man for my daughter.

Despite her father's disapproval, Brooke decided to accept Ray’s proposal. Ray commented,  I know our entire relationship has played out in front of the entire world. I don’t care, I want everybody to know how much I care for you, how much I love you and I want you to marry me. Not only do I want you to marry me, but I wanna do it right here next week in front of everybody.

Brooke later terminated her contract with WWE when a controversial audio of her father commenting on her dating choice got out. Hulk Hogan commented that his daughter’s ideal husband should be like him and would bring “Hulkamania” to anyone who marries his daughter.
