America’s Got Talent is an American talent show competition that is also part of Simon Cowell’s global Got Talent franchise. The series has aired for eighteen seasons and their current host is Terry Crews along with judges Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara and Heidi Klum. AGT is about performances of multiple different acts such as comedy, acting, singing, dancing, stunts and more. After auditions, the approved participants by the judges are supposed to perform live on stage and compete for both public and judges’ votes. Here are the top 4 best and worst auditions on America’s Got talent.
Top 4 Best AGT Auditions of All Seasons
Shin Lim (Magician; Season 13 WINNER; 2018)
Shin impressed everyone with his magical act, his first audition left the audience and the judges gasping in shock. He started with a close up magic trick simultaneously talking to Tyra Banks and asking her to sign the Queen of Spades. After that he ended up sealing the cards in a transparent box to make the image appear on his body, the entire crowd was impressed by his tricks. He is the first performer to win two consecutive AGT seasons.
The Clairvoyants (Mentalists; Season 11 RUNNERS-UP; 2016)
If you watch AGT almost regularly, you know there have been a lot of mentalist acts but no one can beat the Clairvoyants. Everyone was blown away as their jaws hit the floor when Amelie picked out the exact lipstick Hedi Klum owned, Howie Mandel’s eye drops and an audience member’s cell phone.
V.Unbeatable (Dance Crew; Season 14 FOURTH PLACE FINALISTS)
Dwayne Wade’s Golden Buzzer; 2019): This was a dance group from Mumbai India who flew to audition on the AGT stage to America. These exceptionally hardworking and talented group members were amazing on stage as they included gymnastic stunts, a bamboo stick slide, and quicksilver footwork in their dance routines. Dwayne Wade gave them a golden buzzer and they ended up being the fourth place in the finals. They returned for America’s Got Talent: The Champions – Season Two, where they also received another golden buzzer.
Cristina Rae (Singer; Season 15 THIRD PLACE FINALIST)
Heidi Klum’s Golden Buzzer; 2020): On AGT’s fifteen anniversary, Cristina Rae made history by performing the iconic cover of Phil Collins’s “In the Air Tonight,” But simon wasn't impressed he wanted her to sing another song. Then she sang The Rolling Stones’ iconic “Gimme Shelter” for which she received a Golden Buzzer for our very favourite judge Heidi Klum.
Top 4 Worst AGT Auditions Of all Seasons
Sanjula Vamana - Los Angeles Auditions
On an entertainment stage like AGT, neither the audience nor the judges want to see risky acts that involve self harm, it can be triggering for most people. Even though it might be considered talent on a different stage where checking one’s pain tolerance is considered talent, but AGT is not it. Looking at the needles was terrifying enough, all judges ended up pushing the red button due to the extremities of the act.
Paul Pierog - Orlando Auditions - Night 2
This was a bizarre performance by a bunch of people dressed up who showed up on the stage and were talking over each other not knowing what to do on stage. Their costumes made no sense and the overall chaos was very annoying. All three judges pressed the red buzzer but the group wasn’t ready to leave until the crew intervened.
Jokgu the Chicken Auditions Premiere & Judge Cuts 2
After making through the first round of auditions, Jokgu the chicken has impressed a wide range of people by showcasing her talent which was playing the piano on her keyboard. Unfortunately she couldn’t make it through the second audition as we think she might have had a little stage fright and refused to go on stage with her chicken sibling. They both were supposed to play “Born to be Wild”, but on the brighter side the video went viral and Jokgu became a celebrity overnight. Sadly, a year later the chicken passed away.
Trisha Paytas Final Auditions
Youtuber Trisha Paytas also known as Trish Like Fish auditioned on the AGT too. Their talent was fast talking and she came on the stage to showcase it but the talent itself sounded so absurd all three judges rejected them. Paytas later accused AGT management of asking them to change their act just minutes before they were about to go on the stage as they were meant to speed-sing “Star Spangled Banner.”
