Before she joined Love Island USA, Allie Ryan had a long history of watching reality television. She believed it would be strange to be around cameras. How candidates could develop such strong bonds in just a few days astonished her.

Ryan, a native of Madison, is a nursing student. Ryan said recently on Wisconsin Public Radio's The Morning Show that it took her two hours to discover her closest friend on this summer's release of Love Island USA.

Ryan is the newest Wisconsinite making reality TV. Farmer Ann Rosenquist of Bayfield County recently appeared on WPR's Central Time to discuss her experience competing in the survival challenge Alone on the HISTORY Channel.
