Angelica Ross has stated that she has received an apology from Emma Roberts regarding her conduct while filming American Horror Story: 1984.
Just one day after the renowned actress from Pose, aged 42, accused her former co-star, aged 32, of making a derogatory comment towards transgender individuals on the set of the FX series, Ross revealed on X (formerly known as Twitter) that Roberts had reached out to express remorse.

Ross expressed her gratitude towards Roberts, saying, Thank you, Emma Roberts, for reaching out and apologizing. It is commendable that you acknowledge that your actions were not in line with being an ally.
She added, I am open to further discussions regarding your commitment to personal growth and willingness to use your platform to support social justice causes. Requests for comments from Roberts, Ross, and FX representatives have yet to be responded to.

The creation of the anthology series
Ross, who identifies as transgender, initially disclosed the alleged incident on Tuesday via an Instagram Live session, which was subsequently recorded by an AHS fan account. During the video, Ross asserted that the purported occurrence occurred between herself and Roberts, whom she only referred to by first name and initials. At the same time, they were both involved in the production of the anthology series.
According to Ross, she conversed with Roberts while standing in front of her, with Roberts' back facing a mirror. Ross claimed that Roberts stated, John, Angelica's being mean, ostensibly referring to AHS director John J. Gray. Ross further alleged that Gray interjected, saying, Okay, ladies, that's enough.

Ross expressed her apprehension regarding potential retaliation if she reported the purported incident, stating, I am deeply concerned that if I were to speak out, I would become the subject of scrutiny.

This is due to my knowledge of a previous instance where an individual spoke up about similar behavior and faced negative consequences. The individual in question, a former colleague, has since been ostracized from the industry.
Furthermore, the Transparent alum disclosed that she had severed all communication with Roberts following the alleged on-set encounter. The actor shared a purported electronic mail correspondence between herself and the producer regarding the anticipated program, which ultimately failed to come to fruition.
