Kate Gosselin is an American Television Personality. She appeared on the reality television series Jon and Kate Plus Eight which was a family show that took a deep dive in her and Jon’s relationship as a couple and how they raised their family of twins and sextuplets. Her eight children include Mady, Cara, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel. Their show aired from 2007 to 2017.

In 2009, Kate filed for divorce when there were allegations made against Jon, her husband. The couple however decided to end the relationship with mutual respect for the sake of their children. After they finalised their divorce, Kate and Jon were somehow stuck in a long custody battle for their kids. Kate received primary custody of all eight kids but the two Hannah and Collin found themselves living with their dad full time, while the other six children had almost no contact with their father. In 2023, their kids graduated from their respective colleges and schools. Jon told the People magazine that he only attended one ceremony.

Now that all their children are mature legal adults, their parents remain estranged after the nasty custody battle.“At this point the chance of co-parenting with my ex has likely come to an end,” Jon expressed to Us Weekly in a scheduled interview in May 2023. “There is a sense of relief for me that they can move on, into adulthood without the stigma of mom and dad attending family court.” Most of their children have little to no contact with their father but have always been seen meeting their mom every now and then. They have also publicly released statements to not start a feud in their family that dated back to their childhood. They wish to be left in peace. As of 2020, Kate and her children are living in a lakefront home in Troutman, North Carolina.

Kate purchased this North Carolina house for $750,000 back in 2018. It is a 3562 square foot home that has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Not a double story but a level one home,  with tile flooring throughout the living room, family room, dining room and kitchen, as the walls feature wood moulding. The living room is very cozy with a fireplace and a stunning view of Lake Norman right from the window. The kitchen boasts grey countertops, wood cabinets and an island with additional seating.Kate’s children seem to enjoy living so close to the water as disclosed in a TikTok video where twin Mady captioned a series of clips: “Sometimes I forget that I like the outdoors.” The video showed Mady and her younger siblings sitting and admiring the stunning view in their sight.

Back in January, the same year, Kate sold her Pennsylvania home for $1,085,000. In late 2020, She put the mansion on the market for $1,299,900.  Moreover, Kate had bought the six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home for $1,120,000 in 2008. A source close to Kate’s representatives disclosed that: “Kate picked up and moved the kids down to North Carolina to spend their junior and senior years there with a totally new life.” This house was also where Kate Plus 8 was shot, hence the market value was more. It was a 7,591-square-foot house with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Oak and cherry hardwood floors were found everywhere from the family room and game room that connects to the backyard patio. A hunter-green front door decorated with ornate glasswork introduced to a spacious two-story foyer. The kitchen had three ovens, two dishwashers, a six-burner gas stovetop and a large island suited for serving meals, perfect for Kate’s huge family.
